Colin Vicente

Managing Director |

Colin holds an MSc in Health Economics from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Pharmacy. Colin has spent the last decade designing and implementing health economic studies, executing on price optimization plans and delivering results through successful reimbursement strategies. Colin brings a unique approach to PIVINA via his experience and progression in the pharmaceutical industry. His innovative approaches and take charge attitude will allow him to continue to deliver high quality results for PIVINA's clients.

Jim McIntosh

Manager, Pricing |

Jim holds an Honours B. Comm. and MBA degrees from the University of Windsor. He has more than 35 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with global pharmaceutical companies or as a consultant. He has been involved in pricing and PMPRB-related activities since 1993. Jim brings to PIVINA and its clients a wealth of experience in such areas as: development of annual price optimization strategy; introductory pricing strategy for new medicines; preparation of New Drug Submissions to PMPRB for patented medicines; completion of mandatory PMPRB reporting forms; monitoring patented medicines price compliance with PMPRB's Excessive Price Guidelines, and, where necessary, assisting clients with development of an appropriate strategy to minimize the financial impact of non-compliant pricing situations.

Marc Geadah

Senior Manager, Market Access |

Marc holds a Bachelor in Medical Sciences (BMSc) degree with an honours specialization in microbiology and immunology from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Biotechnology (MBiotech) degree from the University of Toronto. Throughout his graduate studies, Marc received broad exposure to the Canadian pharmaceutical landscape, as well as hands-on drug reimbursement experience during a one-year internship placement at AstraZeneca Canada Inc. Marc joined PIVINA in January 2012, and is currently contributing to the delivery of reimbursement strategies and submissions for clients.

Andrea Szkurhan

Senior Manager, Client Services |

Andrea graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science and from the University of Toronto with a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry. Andrea has spent the last 9 years in the area of Health Economics, Outcomes Research, and Market Access. Before joining PIVINA, Andrea worked on the design and implementation of health economic and market access tools, including interactive models (budget impact, cost-effectiveness) and retrospective database analyses that used pharmacy and medical claims data to provide patient outcomes to help support formulary management. Andrea brings strong project management, client management, and market access experience to PIVINA. At PIVINA, Andrea provided her expertise in the development and launch of - an interactive payer portal that serves as a communication link between Reviewers and Manufacturers when evaluating submissions for funding recommendations. currently hosts over 40 formulary submissions and supports Canadian private payers, including key Pharmacy Benefit Managers, and Hospital P&T Committees. Additionally, Andrea currently works on various market access submissions to payers, including the Common Drug Review, INESSS, public and private payers.

Mihnea Alb

Manager, Market Access |

Mihnea graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science specializing in Biology and Pharmacology and from the University of Toronto with a Master of Biotechnology (MBiotech). As part of the MBiotech degree, Mihnea completed a one-year medical information internship at Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada) Ltd. Having joined PIVINA in January of 2018, he currently holds a Market Access Manager position and is responsible for supporting and delivering analytics, drug reimbursement strategies and submissions for clients.

Natasha Jakac-Sinclair

Drug Reimbursement Analyst |

Natasha holds an Honors BSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics from McMaster University and an MSc in International Health Policy & Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences in the UK. Before joining PIVINA, Natasha has previously worked on Health Economics and Outcomes Research in EU markets with Bristol-Myers Squibb as well as other roles in the life sciences sector within Canada. At PIVINA, Natasha brings her analytical and statistical skills to support drug reimbursement submissions for clients.

Nicholas Hon

Drug Reimbursement Analyst |

Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo with a specialization in biotechnology. Through the internship program, he has gained valuable industry experience working as a part of the quality assurance, operations and validation teams at Germiphene Corp., Apotex Inc., and Patheon Inc., respectively. He also holds a Master of Biotechnology (MBiotech) from the University of Toronto. Nicholas first joined PIVINA in January of 2019 on a one-year internship, in fulfillment of the MBiotech program requirements. Upon completion of the internship, Nicholas returned as a Reimbursement Associate and is responsible for the delivery of analytics and drug submissions dossiers for clients.

Chris Boodoo

Health Economics Associate |

Chris graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Health Studies and from the University of Toronto with a Master of Science in Health Services Research with primary areas of study in Health Informatics and Health Economics. Prior to joining PIVINA, he was involved in the development and evaluation of various mobile health technologies in Ontario. Joining PIVINA in September 2019, Chris is currently leveraging his expertise in programming and research methodologies to support clients with the health economic components of their drug reimbursement submissions.

Haben Abraha

Market Access Associate |

Haben holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and a Master of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering, both obtained at the University of Toronto. Before joining PIVINA, Haben worked with the Medical Outcomes and Research in Economics (MOREĀ®) Group, where he conducted clinical health outcomes research and statistical analysis of Phase 4 real-world evidence for pharmaceutical clients. In his role at PIVINA, Haben uses his clinical knowledge and analytical experience to assist clients through delivery and support of drug reimbursement submissions and market access strategies.
