Colin holds an MSc in Health Economics from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Pharmacy. Colin has spent the last decade designing and implementing health economic studies, executing on price optimization plans and delivering results through successful reimbursement strategies. Colin brings a unique approach to PIVINA via his experience and progression in the pharmaceutical industry. His innovative approaches and take charge attitude will allow him to continue to deliver high quality results for PIVINA’s clients.

Tharani B.Sc. (Hons) graduated from the Faculty of Science majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Business studies. Additionally, she obtained her Postgraduate in Advertising/Marketing. She brings to PIVINA and potential new clients strong experience in project management, advisory board sessions, market research, and market access strategic planning. She has been responsible for designing and implementing reimbursement strategies that gave new products a highly competitive advantage in the marketplace. She has worked on over 25 product submissions that have been reviewed by the Common Drug Review, former iJODR/pCODR, INESSS, private and public payers.

Jim holds an Honours B. Comm. and MBA degrees from the University of Windsor. He has been in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 30 years with a global pharmaceutical company, the last 19 of which he had primary responsibility for pricing and PMPRB-related activities. He was also a member of Rx&D’s PMPRB Sub-committee for 3½ years. Jim brings to PIVINA and its clients a wealth of experience in such areas as: development of annual price optimization strategy; introductory pricing strategy for new medicines; preparation of New Drug Submissions to PMPRB for patented medicines (including multiple products categorized as Breakthrough or Substantial Improvement); completion of mandatory PMPRB reporting forms; monitoring patented medicines price compliance with PMPRB’s Excessive Price Guidelines, and, where necessary, assisting clients with development of an appropriate strategy to minimize the financial impact of non-compliant pricing situations.

Roman received his BSc with honours specialized in biotechnology at York University and his Masters of Biotechnology at the University of Toronto. As part of the program he was responsible for presenting proposals for innovative products from development to commercialization. Roman’s focus at PIVINA is mainly analytic modelling in support of reimbursement for PIVINA’s clients including the development of excel-based budget impact models and providing risk-assessment for clients engaged in product listing agreements.

Suthakar has obtained a BASc, specializing in biological engineering, and has completed a Masters of Biotechnology, both at the University of Toronto. Suthakar has a breadth of experience, having worked with a range of products - specifically, completing pCODR submissions for oncology products. He also has a vast amount of experience in developing budget impact models and net impact models, completing submissions for CDR and INESSS, and has created product listing agreements at the provincial level. Suthakar has also aided in the systematic review process, and helped develop client related databases. Through his work, he has aided in the development of reimbursement strategies and furthered PIVINA’s goal of achieving valuable results to their clients.

Marc holds a Bachelor in Medical Sciences (BMSc) degree with an honours specialization in microbiology and immunology from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Biotechnology (MBiotech) degree from the University of Toronto. Throughout his graduate studies, Marc received broad exposure to the Canadian pharmaceutical landscape, as well as hands-on drug reimbursement experience during a one-year internship placement at AstraZeneca Canada Inc. Marc joined PIVINA in January 2012, and is currently contributing to the delivery of reimbursement strategies and submissions for clients.
